Sick of Turkey Sandwiches?

Here's a quick and delish way to use up that last bit of turkey in the fridge.

Turkey Pot Pie

To make filling mix:
Cream Chix Soup
Chix broth
Flour
Garlic Powder, Salt & Pepper to taste

Saute the mixed frozen veggies and add to the thickened chicken sauce
Add turkey-shredded

For the crust roll out can rolls and place on the bottom
Pour in filling
Place rolled dough on top

I cut small X's in the top to prevent it from bubbling.

Cook for about 25 minutes on 350-400

ENJOY!

Organize your Jewels!

Happy Hump Day!

Yesterday as I was looking at my sad dry & cracked hands I got jealous of all the sugar scrubs I gave for Christmas...so I had to make one for myself! I headed to TJMaxx and got a jar with a lid in the kitchen section, got some new olive oil and whipped up a small batch. YAY!

I ALMOST forgot about the best purchase ever....1 year subscription to Cosmo for $5. Both Cosmo and Cuisine showed up yesterday...great night!
I am not big into jewelry...but I want to be...just have never had a good way to organize/keep them untangled. I saw this solution online and had to have it. Right now I only have a few necklaces hanging-but I'm sure this will encourage future purchases

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Christmas Craft Magic

Now that Christmas is over...very sad about it...and everyone has received their gifts-I can finally post pictures of everything that was made!

This is a wine cork dry erase board I made for B...it turned out awesome and I couldn't wait to share it with everyone!
I made about 10 of these Christmas Eve when I saw a picture of these, and decided I wanted to make my own for gifts. They are wine cork reindeer and they are cute as a button!
Here is one up close. I had a champagne cork in my stash and D wanted ours to be different from the rest...plus it looked like a head. Too cute-and even cuter on the tree!
I won't take credit for this one...Dillon painted this for his Nanny. I wasn't the only one hard at work these past couple of weeks! Great work D
Lastly, I made sugar scrub for everyone. They turned out super cute and work great. Perfect for dry cracked skin. Need to relax? Just scrub your hands and feet with this and instantly feel soothed by the lavender/vanilla aromas.

I have more posts coming...but I wanted to go ahead and share all my crafts I've been hiding first!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday...and if you're off this week *cough-cough* I hope you are enjoying yourselves and getting some much needed things done.

Next up-New Years in DC!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

...That's right...Christmas Eve Eve (CEE)! I am counting down 3 tiny hours until I am off work and packing for home. Tonight we will celebrate CEE with my mom's sister, and my cousins. We are going to snack on yummy holiday foods, and have a Chinese Christmas gift exchange. Our theme is ornaments this year...for our 1st Annual Chinese Christmas. Should be fun!!

Hope everyone is wrapped, ready, and set for Santa in 2 DAYS!

Safe travels and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Who Woulda Thunk? Helpful Hints

I came across these helpful hints in one of those chain emails, and thought they were just great...I had to share! It's the little/simple things that can improve our life oh so much more.

We always make cupcakes at home because we have a craving, and want to take those that we don't scarf down to the office so we can share (aka continue to eat them all day long)...but how do you transport them if you don't have a fancy cupcake carrier?....use a box top and cut X's in the top. Haven't tried but looks like it will work great!
Not sure how to store you ornaments? Tired of keeping those big bulky boxes for your Christmas balls? Try using egg cartons!
This is so simple it's stupid. I've seen this before, but I always forget to do this after I wash/fold them. Now you won't have any more missing pillow cases to your sheet sets!
If I had a house/was cramped for space I would totally do this ...tomorrow! Great for cute little flowers or herbs for cooking...and it dresses up the side of your house. Go Green!
Travel much? I do...well five time a year...and I never know what to do with my shoes without putting them all over my clean clothes. What a great tip...I will def put this one to use in Jan/Feb for my next trips.
Have scuffed up wood from years of wear and tear, kids, pets, and men? Try rubbing a walnut on the abused spots for a quick fix.
Short on space? Wrapping paper falling all over the place? Wrapping paper storage container taking up too much space? How many of us actually use the top of our closets as storage space? Try this to free up some room for more shoes!

Hope you guys enjoyed these tips....

We're just 5 days away!

Mac N Cheeseburger Potato Crock Pot Recipe

Hey Friends!

OK-this may look gross, but my taste buds are jumping for joy...so much so that we are having the leftovers tonight!

Mac N Cheeseburger Potato Crock Pot Soup

Add ingredients to crock pot:
4 cups of chicken broth
2-4 potatoes, diced
1lb hamburger-cooked
as much onion as you like...for flavor

Cook on low for 4-6 hours...or until the potatoes are tender

Add a package of Velveeta cheese (I drained most of the remaining chicken broth because I like my stuff cheezy)
Cooked noodles (we used shells)

Let the cheese melt down & then serve

Happy cooking!

High-Tech Christmas!

Monday, Monday, Monday...

Hope everyone had a great weekend! D and I had an action packed weekend in VA with family. Friday night we went to my Granny's house and had Olive Garden to-go for her b-day...yum! We rode around and looked at lights after we ate and found an AWESOME house where the lights/music were synced. Here is a picture and a video...

Saturday, D and I slept in as late as we could...busy day ahead! He went to Franklin to help with chores around the house while Kels and I went shopping...yikes...way too many people for me to handle. Saturday night was the Pope/Edwards annual Christmas party...it's always one to look forward to. Food, family, gift exchange, and booze...it makes for an interesting party!

Sunday we laid around and got our stuff together to head back to the OBX. Dez was very tired from playing with Zoey/Roxy and Sandy all weekend. Such a Daddy's girl....

Christmas is coming...6 days away! Thank goodness Kelsey is home so she can wrap my presents!

Have a great Monday!!

All The Pretty Lights

These are a few pictures of the incredible house in the OBX that sets up a huge display of lights. A couple years ago Al Roker even came out to this guys house a couple years ago. It is 110% better in person, but I wanted to share some pictures for those of you who can't come to see in person!

Hello there Dez! All snuggled on the couch for a girls night in.

I have had this project sitting around for a couple weeks now. I had to do something with it before Christmas passed. I saw this on Pintrest and thought it was a cute and clever idea. I had keys on my key ring from our house in Greenville, and our old VB house. What else am I gonna do with these things? Make an ornament out of them of course! I already had some jewelry wire, bought a $1 pack of beads from WalMart, and got some paper...strung them all together and just like that you have a cute ornament/way to memorialize your old homeplace(s).

I hope everyone has a great weekend. If you haven't finished your Christmas shopping yet-hop to it!

...9 Days till Christmas...

Bring the Magic Back!

Happy Thursday all! Not only are we 1 day closer to the weekend, but one day closer to Christmas...ahhhh it's coming way too quick! I have not even wrapped a single present, and the closest I've come to holiday spirit is a Christmas tree & holiday music at work. Why can't we be 5 years old again....but just for the holidays...where did all the magic go? I think it got lost somewhere between work and responsibilities. I digress...

Last night I finally finished my 2 night marathon of crafting for B. It took a lot of time, but I think the final product is amazing...in love with this piece. I wish I could see the recipient open this gift!

I almost made it through without a hot glue burn...but at the end when I was gluing one of the last shells my fingers became burn victims. One of the downfalls to the night job I guess :)

After the pain went away and I was finally able to get comfy Dez and I went to bed in our new wiener dog sheets. Soo warm and snuggly!

Today has been a nightmare at work....so at lunch I got myself a small DD coffee to help my headache and simmer my nerves...little did I know a small would be 4 gulps worth. Needless to say I am treasuring each little sip!

Now--get crackin' people 10 days till Christmas!!!
